We began our Red Angus herd in the spring 2011 with the purchase of 43 bred heifers from Dale Lacy of Drexel, MO. This is a new venture for Shoal Creek, but we are excited for what the future holds as we continue to build our Red Angus herd. They are a moderate framed, easy fleshing, and highly maternal group of cows that continue to impress us every day.

Harmonys Windsong 0269 - View her video. |
In the spring of 2013 we added Harmony’s Windsong 0269 to our
Red Angus program. She's a February 2009 daughter of Red Fine Line
Mulberry 26P. Her dam is the now deceased BJR Windsong 2269 who served
as an elite donor for Majestic Meadows of Maryland and Harmony Hills
of Missouri. So far Windsong 0269 has exceeded all of our
expectations. Her 2013 natural bull calf has been retained for herd
sire use at Shoal Creek and she has averaged 15 transferable embryos
per flush on three flushes in 2013.
For these reasons we couldn’t turn down the opportunity to
acquire her other two full sisters who are just as impressive as she
is in person. We believe Windsong cows are truly unique in their type
and kind for Red Angus females and we are excited to begin building a
cow family around them.
Fall bulls out Windsong 0269 will be available as yearlings in late
September. Sires include Red Lazy MC Cowboy Cut and Red Northline
Rockstar.
